“Proud of Our Veterans”

Nov. 9

10:00 AM on south side of school,

6:30 PM in gym,

Veteran's Day Celebration

Third grade students need to wear red, white and blue clothes for the program that honors our Veterans. There will be a powerpoint presentation at the evening performance that will include pictures of our military. Students should bring pictures of your family members who have served in the military to Mrs. Barger by Oct. 13. Please bring pictures of the service man or woman in uniform. The pictures should be originals or may be scanned and emailed to Mrs. Barger at cathy.barger@d51schools.org. Please do not send photo copies because the picture quality is poor in the powerpoint. Please let Mrs. Barger know if you have any questions.

Note From Music and P.E.

shoes

All children are expected to wear appropriate shoes for music and music and P.E.. This means that shoes must have a toe and heel. High heels or shoes with thick soles are not suitable. Cowboy boots, snow boots, sandals, flip flops and crocs prevent children from being safe and able to do their best, (Crocs with the strap on the back will be OK in music, but not P.E.). Children may bring these shoes to school and change into appropriate shoes before going to music or P.E. Please help your child follow these guidelines.
